Most safari tours are large, structured, and impersonal, moving guests through Africa on a fixed schedule with limited flexibility.
Our small group safaris are intentionally different.
With groups typically between 10–20 guests and personally hosted by Rick MacSwain, these journeys offer a more relaxed, immersive, and seamless way to experience Africa—without the stress, uncertainty, or hidden surprises often found with traditional tour operators.

At Network Travel, we believe your safari should be as unforgettable as the landscapes you explore. Here’s what sets us apart:
✔ Escorted small-group departures led by travel expert Rick MacSwain
✔ Over 30 years of experience creating curated safari itineraries
✔ Luxury lodges and tented camps—all handpicked for comfort and authenticity
✔ Seamless planning, from private transfers to custom excursions
✔ Trusted relationships with local safari guides and conservation partners

Travelling in a small group completely changes how you experience Africa.
With fewer guests per vehicle, you’ll enjoy better wildlife viewing, more space, and a quieter, more immersive atmosphere on safari.
There’s no rushing from place to place. No feeling like part of a large tour.
Instead, each day flows naturally, whether you’re spending extra time watching a pride of lions, enjoying a sundowner overlooking the savanna, or sharing stories around the fire at your lodge.
With Rick hosting the journey, everything is taken care of, so you can simply enjoy the experience.

Everything is designed to make your experience seamless and stress-free

When is the best time to go on safari?
Thanks to its equatorial location, East Africa is a year-round safari destination. Temperatures remain warm throughout the seasons, and even during the green (or light rainy) periods, showers are typically short and refreshing—often arriving in the late afternoon or evening. The landscape stays lush, and wildlife viewing remains exceptional.
The prime safari season runs from June to October, when the dry weather creates ideal conditions for game viewing. In the Masai Mara, this period includes the legendary Great Migration, when millions of wildebeest and zebra cross the plains in a breathtaking natural spectacle.
From January to early March, a second dry window offers warm, sunny days and outstanding visibility—perfect for photography and spotting newborn wildlife. In Amboseli National Park, these months often deliver crystal-clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro, framed by herds of elephants roaming the dusty terrain.
But here’s the best part: there’s truly no bad time to visit East Africa. Every season offers something special—whether it’s the drama of the dry months or the emerald beauty and quieter camps of the green season.
