Meet Our Team

Rick opened an independent travel office in the town of Beaumont, Alberta in 1987. He later merged his business with another independent agency, and they joined the UNIGLOBE Travel franchise in 1990. In 1998 Rick returned to college to continue his education, graduating from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in 2000 with a diploma in Computer Systems Technology. He returned to the travel industry in 2000 as Partner – Director of Marketing & Groups with Uniglobe Geo Travel. Rick developed a group department with a strong emphasis on customized experiences and destination weddings. Rick and his team of group specialists managed several hundred groups annually and received numerous awards and accolades from the top tour operators, resorts, and airlines in Canada.  

Rick’s relationship with Uniglobe Travel ended due to the pandemic and the office closures in Alberta. When many in the industry were consolidating or closing, Rick saw an opportunity, knowing that when the pandemic ended the pent-up demand would be enormous. He started Network Travel Ltd in December of 2020 and recruited industry professionals who share the same passion and enthusiasm for creating lifestyle experiences. With a team of industry leaders Network Travel is well-positioned to be a leader in groups and customized experiences.  

Spare Time

In his spare time Rick enjoys time with family, friends, and golfing.  

With 25 years of experience in the travel industry, Michelle started her career in Edmonton with Uniglobe Geo Travel in 1999. Her customer service, quick wit, and attention to detail enabled her to quickly move into a senior role and later advance into one of the top destination wedding specialists in Western Canada. Michelle has received numerous awards such as being one of the top wedding group agents in Canada with Transat Holidays. With strong organizational skills, Michelle was instrumental in developing group processes that enabled her to heighten her service levels allowing more time spent working directly with each bride. Michelle has managed over 300 groups in the past several years with various complexities to various destinations throughout Europe, Africa, South East Asia, and North America. Ranging from customized small groups of 10 to larger groups with over 100 guests arriving from multiple cities around the world. 

Due to the pandemic, Michelle departed Uniglobe and joined the team at Network Travel in March of 2021.  

Michelle’s positive personality and enthusiastic attitude are exceptional. Her excellent customer care skills and insatiable appetite to grow, share, and learn are true assets for our team.

In 1987 Gina moved to Canada and started her travel career with Uniglobe Travel in Edmonton and spent the last 14 years with a large travel organization as a senior-level corporate consultant managing many of their top clients to remote destinations, group conferences, trade missions, and foreign business trips.  

Gina’s exceptional level of service and integrity earned her numerous industry awards and resounding client loyalty. 

Gina’s positive attitude, patience, and contagious personality are second to none. Her expertise working with complicated international flights and her love of curating unique experiences make her an excellent fit and asset to our team at Network Travel. 

Gina grew up in France spending her summers in Portugal with family.  She is fluent in French, Portuguese, and English. 

Spare Time

Other than her love for travel, in her spare time, Gina enjoys baking, cooking, and sampling fine wines in her “She Shed”. Her friends and family rave about her amazing Portuguese desserts and Charcuterie Boards. 

Jackie started her career over 30 years ago with CAA Travel and American Express Travel in Ontario, Canada. During her tenure she achieved many successes and accolades. In 2008 Jackie and her family moved to Beaumont, Alberta where she joined Uniglobe Travel. 

Jackie was promoted to Managing group supervisor, overseeing a team of group specialists across Western Canada. Jackie has extensive experience designing and managing complex international group itineraries and corporate travel services. Some of Jackie’s achievements include the management of corporate trade mission groups, international out-of-country conferences to Europe, and the coordination of philanthropy groups for Plan Canada. Jackie was honored to have had the privilege of co-escorting a group of 72 pilgrims to the Holy Land with his Grace, Archbishop Smith. 

Jackie's relationship with Uniglobe ended due to the pandemic and the closure of offices.
Jackie joined Network Travel in early 2021 and brings extensive experience designing and managing complex international group itineraries and corporate travel services. Jackie’s exceptional human spirit, customer care, superior negotiation skills, and her keen attention to detail are just a few of the strengths she brings to the team. 

Spare Time

In her spare time, Jackie enjoys volunteering at her church, skiing, and of course her passion for travel and experiencing other cultures.

Originally from a small town in The Netherlands, Jacob moved to Canada with his family at the age of 5. Since then, he's had a passion for travel and has built up over 20 years of experience in the industry and visited over 40 countries. 

Jacob has exceptional leadership skills and leads by example. His depth of experience in the travel industry, ranges from curating and pricing customized groups, luxury travel,  travel marketing, CRM management, Human Resources, working for both an Airline and a Cruise line, as well as many years managing leading Travel Agencies across Canada.  

Spare Time

When he is not traveling, Jacob enjoys cycling and photography.

Coming from Colombia, Tatiana completed her bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering before venturing to Canada. Fueled by a passion for combining numbers with exploration, she found her calling in Hospitality Management, discovering a deep love for the dynamic world of tourism and travel. Tatiana brings a unique mix of analytical skills and a love for adventure, ready to add her special touch to creating unforgettable travel experiences.

In addition to her academic journey, Tatiana's Colombian roots instilled in her a profound appreciation for rich cultural heritage, while her experiences in Canada expanded her perspectives. With an eagerness to contribute to her diverse background, Tatiana looks forward to sharing her story in the lively world of the travel industry.

Donna earned her Bachelor of Education Degree at the University of Alberta in 1996. She followed her passion and later continued her studies earning her Graphic Design Diploma at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). 

Donna joined Network Travel on a contractual basis in March of 2021 as a Graphic Design Specialist. Donna is responsible for the customization of our group and wedding packages. She also manages the design of our customized group itineraries and promotional graphics. 

Donna works directly with bridal clients to ensure our complimentary wedding invitations and dinner menus are customized and sent for professional printing. In her spare time, Donna enjoys arts and crafts, and travel. She also volunteers for disability advocacy.  

A native of Calgary, AB, Shannon has spent the last 25+ years enjoying the milder winters on the West Coast.  Shannon is our number cruncher who has a passion for organization and productivity books, Apps, YouTubers, you name it.  Shannon's favourite travel experiences include spending time in the Dominican Republic, Australia, Paris, Italy and The Cotswolds, UK.  Next on the list is a Covid-thwarted trip to New Zealand for her husband to rediscover his roots.  But Italy is where her true travel dreams lie.... whose doesn't?
